2D1D Day 1 Breakdown

(JAN 8.00 am EST, 5.00 am at MCM’s)

A breakdown indeed. I slept for 3 hours, and don’t feel really well. So yesterday, after we closed down The Dispatch for the day, I still had to wrap my presents for Sinterklaas, in newspaperpaper, because I forgot to buy pretty wrappings *smackleheads*. Then I had to write a poem, to explain the presents. I bought coffee cups btw, large ones, because the roommates’s boyfriends (as in roommates with each 1 boyfriend) use a lot of those, and by the time I get up they are all GONE // DISASTER. Yes I buy presents for myself in disguise.

So anyway, I went to sleep around 7, it was very windy outside, so I slept very bad. At 10 I had to week up to unwrap the presents. Yuppers. I had 3 hours of sleep. I crashed a little bit watching The Lion King (hey it’s Sunday AND a holiday). And now I’m here again, breaking down while doing yesterday’s breakdown. Life is hard.

Lucky for me #2D1D is fun :) It was at least for us here at The Dispatch. Even though Eli is missed very much, we do have new company, and it has been fun. I have to admit I was a little stressed when the first chapters where airing though. It almost felt as a job!! But then my inner sillyness surfaced and all was good again.

As for an actual breakdown, I found #2D1D very different from #3D1D. Which was partly MCM’s intention, because he wants to disconnect the system from particular stories. However funny this story is, and it’s pretty hilarious, there is a smaller emotional connection with the characters. It is an action comedy after all (though I seem to remember this story being promoted as a thriller somewhere), but still, I prefer my stories a little more deep in general.

The whole io9 thing is great, lot’s of people participating. I do feel a little disappointed with the interaction though. Vocal people as the IO9 crowd are, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of discussion. So please come and enjoy the fun at The Dispatch. We like discussion. You’re even invited to start rumors about Anna. Or send her get well wishes. And learn Sinterklaas songs. I digress.

I also have some minor problems with how the story is posted. The layout isn’t very reader friendly, as after a couple of paragraphs the eyes find it difficult to focus.

Since Anna felt to unfocused to make some charts, I have tried it out. Some basic #2D1D chart fun for you to enjoy.

Anna and Eli loose :p

Rok wins, but Mjgolli and me are closely behind. (THE BOT LOVES ME, YAY). Anna is totally missing out on botlove though, and this is also the first time ever that Eli got picked. Rejoicing around the Globe!

This graph says it all, only 3 (!!!) people believe Anna when she’s spreading rumors, and that includes herself. At the other side of the spectre are the 97 people who believed me. The next Graph shows that they were right about doing so, because we counted the lies told, and it is obvious with a first glance that All posts started by Anna contain more lies.

Lies told in Yesterday's Chapters

Please note that before Chapter 8, no lies were told.

Anyway, I’m going to prepare the next Chapters post, and try to make some coffee before the drama and fun begin again. Stay tuned and join in!
