(Anna) 4.40pm, Chapter 45 is up, and I’m thinking about Eli…
We just realized: Eli has an exam tomorrow in some boring computer-y thingy. And he was supposed to only have a nap. And he’s apparently crashed. Fingers crossed he wakes up in time or has an alarm set to wake him up in time; it’d suck if he missed his exam….

45. Crash and Burn
Tundra races to help, but the others take over too.
Redux runs interference while Chenne, Rook and Tundra
chase down the freighters. They’re on bad entry angles, and
need to land in the Indian Ocean (other side of planet).
Chenne chases the first one into the atmosphere, nearly
burning up. Tundra gets attacked by SEF and almost
crashes, but Rook intervenes and saves her. Freighter hits
the atmosphere the wrong way and explodes, throwing
fragments at them!
ENDS WITH: debris field at 12 o’clock!

Outline differences again re: how the freighter ends up exploding. But still, awesome chapter! I loved seeing a bit more of Rache, and she’s cool, awesome pilot! Yay to female awesomeness! Other than that I’m incoherent.

It’s great to see everybody go mental about every new chapter. We are obviously all tensed on the tip of our chair, noses against the computer screens. I feel like life might never be the same after this. It’s also great how worried everybody is about all the user input. For the next chapter I’m afraid the picked choices result will be that only 1 will live and that will be Rook… I’m glad MCM is updating this quickly, because I can’t take the tension anymore!!

About smackleheads, not smacking your head with your hands, but smacking it on your desk, just for clarity. I hope Eli doesn’t have to smacklehead if he misses his exam. Let’s all cross our fingers that doesn’t happen. He hasn’t posted it here, but today he also wrote a great Utopian view on the future of books. With all this going on, it might be better he misses his exam, because when did he study????
